While Singapore is struggling to meet this increased demand with more hotel capacity, they should not make the mistake of limiting the incoming tourist swell.  The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has put in a lot of effort to woo Chinese tourists and it has paid off as China is now one of the top three markets for visitor arrivals in Singapore.

There are many reasons why China has become a top source market for Singapore tourism. Firstly, China is an affluent country and its citizens have a strong desire to travel. China has also been experiencing rapid economic growth, making it a more attractive destination for tourists. China is also a large country with a diverse landscape, making it an interesting place to visit. In addition, the Chinese government has been promoting tourism as a way to boost the economy and promote cultural exchanges.

The Singapore Tourism Board has been working closely with China’s largest online travel agencies, such as Ctrip and Qunar, to promote Singapore as a travel destination. The STB has also been working with China’s national carrier, China Eastern Airlines, to increase the number of flights between China and Singapore. As a result, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Singapore has increased rapidly in recent years.

So what can we expect in the years to come? The Singapore Tourism Board expects the number of Chinese tourists to Singapore to continue to grow. In fact, they predict that China will become the biggest source market for Singapore tourism in the near future. This is good news for Singapore’s economy, as Chinese tourists are known to spend a lot of money while they are in Singapore.
